Life is like this.
24 hours/day multiplied by 7 days/week
So, it’s 24, then 48, then 72, then 96
Then 120, then 144
Then one day you look up and it’s 288
Then the more you think about it, the more it becomes like your favorite pastime or your best subject in school.
If your best subject is math, you will understand right away what I mean when I say life is 365 multiplied by 8.
Especially if you’ve been doing it for a while and you’ve developed some experience, some tricks of the trade and some speed and agility.
Especially if you know that like any new task, breaking it down into simpler parts or estimating to begin with makes a seemingly impossible task much more manageable.
But if your best subject is art or history or literature and you don’t have any idea what the answer could be and it just seems too difficult to even begin calculating something that complicated, you will most likely feel that you have to look outside yourself for the answer. The most common way to solve this particular dilemma would be to find a calculator.
There is an easier way. 365 multiplied by 8 = the average amount of time the average American spends at work each year. You can practice your calculating skills by multiplying those two numbers together but if you’re already good at calculating you might find that completely boring. And if you aren’t good at the thing that needs answering, you might give up before you even get started.
So, what do we do?
Listen carefully because the solution is so simple it is going to blow your mind.
Are you ready?
All you have to do is change the equation from 365 multiplied by 8 to 365 multiplied by 24 and love every minute of it.
